RedRock Faqra: What the Eco-Village Actually Is
What RedRock Faqra actually is: a gated residential eco-village above Faqra Club, with shared pools, a bio-farm, a deer reserve, and The Nest inside it.
What to Know
- Residential, gated, above Faqra Club, not a hotel strip.
- Shared infinity pools in summer, garage parking, planted paths.
- Quiet by design. People live here year-round.
- Eight minutes to Mzaar, five to Faqra Club, not ski-in/ski-out from the door.
Most people booking near Faqra haven't heard of RedRock. It doesn't appear in tourist guidebooks. It's a residential development, and that's the point.
What it is
An eco-oriented gated village on the hillside above Faqra Club, at around 1,600 metres. Developed with a Foster + Partners master plan across a large landscaped site: low-rise residences, gardens, shared infinity pools, trails, an organic bio-farm and a fallow deer reserve.
What's shared
- Seasonal infinity pools (mid-June to 30 September, 10:00–19:00)
- Walking paths and planted gardens
- Garage parking, a real advantage after snowfall
- Access toward the bio-farm and deer/wildlife reserve areas
What it's like
Quiet is the honest headline. No through traffic strip, no bar noise from a resort corridor. You hear weather more than nightlife. Busier at holidays and peak ski weeks; near-empty in quiet shoulder months.
Living alongside residents
People live here year-round. Keep outdoor noise down late, leash dogs on the grounds, don't feed the deer, and treat the pools as neighbours' shared space.
RedRock vs the alternatives
Faraya puts you next to shops and the roundabout, louder and more convenient for errands. Slopeside Mzaar wins if you want to walk to lifts. A hotel adds spa and staffed reception. RedRock trades that for a kitchen, garage, fire pit and a quieter base a few minutes from Faqra Club and a short drive from Mzaar.
Who it suits
Couples, small parties of up to three, remote workers, and anyone who wants the mountain rather than a resort lobby.
