What's Not in the Chalet, and Why We'd Rather Tell You
What The Nest does not have: no oven, no frying, no dishwasher, no AC, no complimentary firewood, no shop on foot. Honest list before you book.
What to Know
- Hob only, no oven, no frying, no dishwasher.
- No air conditioning; at 1,600 m you rarely want it.
- Firewood and charcoal are not provided.
- Nearest shops are a short drive toward Faraya; many deliver.
Better to know before you book than on arrival. Here's what isn't here, and why.
No oven
A hob, not an oven. Plan pasta, soups, salads and simple one-pan meals, not roasts.
No frying
House rules limit cooking to light preparations. Frying fills a small chalet and the next guest inherits it.
No dishwasher
Wash as you go. It works fine for three people if you keep pans few.
No air conditioning
At 1,600 metres you won't want it. August evenings need a jumper more often than cooling.
No complimentary firewood

The fire pit is yours to use. Wood and charcoal are not provided, buy nearby or bring some with you.
No daily housekeeping
Cleaning before you arrive and after you leave. Mid-stay cleans only if arranged for a longer stay.
No cot as standard
Ask in advance if you need one.
No shop within walking distance
Nearest shops are a short drive toward Faraya or Kfardebian. Many deliver.
No restaurant inside RedRock
It's residential. Eating out means driving.
No mobile signal guarantee
Signal is patchy in places. WiFi and the 4G device cover you at the chalet.
